Glow-Frame Initiative
The Glow-Frame Initiative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young adults from underserved communities in Arizona by providing them with real-world experience in the film and AV industries. Our comprehensive apprenticeship program is designed for individuals aged 16-24, offering hands-on training on actual film sets and behind the scenes at live events.
Our program immerses participants in various aspects of AV technology and filmmaking. From LED video wall technology and live sound engineering to cinematography and film production, we tailor our training to the interests of each participant, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed.
1st Annual Glow-Frame Initiative Benefit
Bill Jones Exhibition
The Glow-Frame Initiative is proud to present the Bill Jones Exhibition, a special event honoring the life and work of legendary photographer Bill Jones. Curated by Irin “Iroc” Daniels and Toy Jones this exhibition features hand-picked photos from Bill Jones’ collection, capturing icons from Outkast to Beyoncé and many more. This free and open-to-the-public event will take place on February 28, 2025, at the Arizona One Building, bringing together art, history, and community to celebrate a true visionary.
Jones, the first Black Hollywood photographer, captured some of the most iconic figures in history, including Michael Jackson, Muhammad Ali, Aretha Franklin, Nelson Mandela, and Michelle Obama. His work, featured in Ebony and Jet, helped shape the visual legacy of Black excellence and cultural influence.
Event Highlights
- Sports Room – Featuring portraits of Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, and Muhammad Ali.
- Civil Rights Room – Showcasing images of Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Angela Davis, and Martin Luther King Jr..
- Grammy Room – Highlighting icons like Beyoncé, Outkast, Oprah Winfrey, Halle Berry, Spike Lee, Denzel Washington, and Michael Jackson.
- Arizona Photography Room – Celebrating local photographers and their contributions to visual storytelling.
- Interactive Experience – Hands-on photo stations, digital storytelling displays, and photography workshops.
